Run for water

Both Ariana Pizzatti, Marketing Director of Ecofiltro, and Nelo Mijangos, Photographer, have come up with a personal challenge which is to Run from La Antigua Guatemala to Panajachel, Guatemala. They are combining both their passions towards running with a cause, which is to try and end the high death rate in Guatemala due to gastrointestinal problems which derives from the lack of purified water in this country.

Run for Water

Therefore, on December 6th, they will be running a total of 70 miles (113 Kms) trying to raise enough funds in order to be able to donate Ecofiltros to more than 500 schools throughout the rural areas of Guatemala, benefitting more than 15,000 children.

Run for Water

Their goal is to raise a total of $20,000 or more, and only with your support they will be able to accomplish this. Feel free to donate the amount you find suitable. There will be an entire month to donate, until the date of the race. The entire training process, race and delivery of the Ecofiltros will be documented, so you can follow both Ariana and Nelo during this entire challenge. Thank you very much!

The perfect season to visit Atitlán

The perfect season photo by José Moreno

Yesterday I was taking pictures in a Panajachel dock and I think this season is perfect one to visit Atitlán, because the climate, people, everything is really good. You can sit down and view the middle of the day, enjoy the heath or let yourself observe the arrival of darkness. Maybe tomorrow I will post a sunset photo.
